A £4 million project involving the conversion of existing school accommodation together with the addition of new buildings on the King Edward Vll school site to facilitate the merging with Queen Mary school  to form a new independent co-educational day school.

New accommodation included additional classrooms, laboratories, kindergarten, school kitchen and bridge to link new and existing first floor areas, whilst work within the existing buildings involved refurbishment of the school dining room, main corridors and other areas.

The new buildings are modern in appearance but use red brick and pitched roofs to provide a visual link to the existing Edwardian school and the location generally.​

Later work has included a new 6th form library in the original Edwardian school building which was of sufficient height to allow a new mezzanine floor to be inserted thus allowing an increase in the book stack and study areas.

The two levels of book stack and study areas are connected by a a double-height space with a steel and glass staircase allowing access between floors.

The book stacks and study areas are located at ground floor overlooked by the L-shaped upper floor which is primarily occupied by study areas.

Although the new interventions are carried out in a modern style, great  attention was paid to retention and restoration of the original ornate plasterwork and other traditional details and new all-weather sports pitch.
